Gallia County Hike & Bike Trail

The Gallia County Hike & Bike Trail is a former CSX railway right-of-way, currently under development as a hiking and biking trail. Ultimately, it will stretch 28 miles from southern Vinton County through Gallia County to Gallipolis, and extending to Kanauga.

Three completed sections are surfaced with crushed limestone. The trail features gentle grades through rolling farmland, short stretches through small towns and over steel bridges. The most utilized section is 3.3 miles in length, running from Mill Creek Road to McCormick Road.

The trail can be used for non-motorized walking and bicycle cycling.
